The Commissioner of Crown Lands held his usual monthly court on Tuesday, the 7th instant. The following are the applications :
AGRCULTURAL
John Schneider, 40 acres, South Toolburra.
John C Clay, 43 acres, Leyburn.
George Clay, 57 acres, Merivale.
The above three applications were rejected.

FRAUD ALLEGED
A. F. Armstrong, alias Arthur Charles Cameron (48), engineer, charged with having obtained goods valued at 16/2 and £1/5/- in money, by means of a valueless cheque, drawn on a Cunnamulla bank, from Percy George Johnstone, at Inglewood, on July 31 appeared before Mr. J. S. Berge. P.M. yesterday. He was remanded to Inglewood.

POLICE COURTS.
On remand from Brisbane, Arthur T. Armstrong appeared In the Police Court at Inglewood charged with having obtained £2/2/-, In goods and money, from Percy Johnstone, storekeeper, by means of false pretences. Defendant was fined £1. and ordered to make restitution of £2/2/- and pay £2/14/- for' the cost of his transport to Inglewood, In default one month's Imprisonment.

SALES IN BRISBANE
The highest price secured for greasy wool was 22d per lb for 5 bales of AAAH, branded WJG/Arlington, from Graysholm, whilst the highest price obtained for scoured wool was 311d per lb for 9 bales of AAAEW, branded K.S.K / Minerva, from Richmond.

STRAYED, about six Weeks ago, from Mr John Best's Herd, at the Nepean, a Brown
HEIFER, marked with a Crown on the right hip, with initials W. H. underneath the Crown; was seen by Mr. Martin going towards the Flats, and again seen by Mr. Burn on the opposite side the water, at Emu Plains, from the Herd at which place the said Heifer was drawn. - Also, a Brown COW, of the Buffalo Breed, strayed from Lane Cove, marked the same as the above Heifer - Whoever will give Information of the above Cattle to Mr. John Best, at the Nepean, or to Mr. W . Hutchinson, Sydney, will be rewarded for their trouble.

A Large Black and White BULL, with brand-marks behind on both sides, but too much effaced to be deciphered, having joined the Herd of John Best, at Hornsey wood, near Emu Plains, the Owner will receive the same on defraying expenses.

STRAYED, about the latter End of June last, from the Herd of Mr. John Best, near, Emu Island, a Strawberry coloured COW. branded W. H. on the near hip, under a Crown mark, the property of Mr. W. Hutchinson.- Also, on the 9th of July, a Grey COW, branded I. B. on the rear hip. - Any Person giving Information of the said
COWs to Mr. John Best, Emu Island, will be rewarded for their Trouble.
